Bike Valuation Nepal

Find out what your bike or scooter is worth in today's Nepal market — free, instant, no sign-up.

How We Value Your Bike

Our estimate starts with a base market price for your bike's engine class, then adjusts it using your bike's age (newer bikes hold value better), kilometers run (lower mileage means a higher estimate), ownership count (a 1st-hand bike is worth more than one that's changed hands several times), and self-reported condition. Brand demand also plays a role — some brands hold resale value better than others in the Nepal market. Lot number, tax/bluebook status, and modifications aren't priced into this quick online tool, but our team accounts for all of them during an in-person inspection.

What Affects Resale Value In Nepal

  • Lot number / registration province — buyers often prefer bikes registered closer to where they'll ride them, which can affect how quickly a bike sells and at what price.
  • Ownership count — each change of hands typically lowers resale value, since buyers associate fewer owners with better care.
  • Pending tax (bluebook renewal) — unpaid tax is usually deducted from the sale price, since the buyer inherits that liability.
  • Modifications — non-stock parts or heavy modification can reduce buyer confidence and resale value, even if the bike runs well.
  • Documented inspection history — a bike with a verified inspection report (like MOTOVO's 50-point check) typically sells faster and for closer to its estimated value, since buyers aren't taking the seller's word for its condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is my bike price decided?

Our valuation tool looks at your bike's age, engine CC, kilometers run, ownership count (1st/2nd/3rd hand), and self-reported condition against real market data for that model. The result is a range, not a single fixed number — actual sale price depends on an in-person inspection.

Is this valuation free?

Yes, completely free, no sign-up required. You get an instant estimated range. If you decide to list with us, the doorstep inspection is also free — you only pay a one-time listing fee after your bike sells.

Does lot number change the price?

Lot number is collected for context but isn't used to adjust the estimated range on this tool — our team factors in location and registration details during the actual doorstep inspection, where it can matter more precisely.

What if my tax (bluebook renewal) is unpaid?

This tool doesn't ask about tax status, so the estimate doesn't account for pending tax. Unpaid tax is typically deducted from the final sale price, since whoever buys the bike has to clear it — our team will walk you through the exact numbers during inspection.

What if my bike's model isn't in your data?

For rare or uncommon models, the tool shows a wider price range to reflect that uncertainty, with a note to contact us directly. Our team can still give you an accurate figure after a quick look at the bike.

How accurate is this estimate?

It's a starting point based on market patterns, not a final offer. The actual price depends on the bike's real condition (checked during our 50-point inspection), its paperwork, and tax status — things an online tool can't verify on its own.

Can I sell my bike directly after getting a valuation?

Yes. Tap "List This Bike On Motovo" after your estimate and your details carry over into our sell form automatically. We then arrange a free doorstep inspection and list your bike once it's certified.
